Runway to Reality: Chanel Beauty

Make-up

- Dust your eyelids with a gold, peach or bronze shadow that contains a subtle shimmer,
taking the colour around the inner corners of your eyes to really illuminate them.

- Use a black liquid eyeliner to create a ‘winged’ effect along your top lash line

 - For a more dramatic effect, wing the outer corner of your lower lash line too,
blending the line to a finish at the inner corner of your eye (rather than flicking it out
towards your nose as in the picture).

Hair

1.) Apply a volumising mousse through your hair to give it some extra body and movement,
before tipping your head upside-down and sweeping your tresses into a high ponytail.

2.) Loosely twist your hair around the base of your ponytail to form messy top-knot,
and secure in place with bobby pins.

3.) To finish the look, carefully place a headband or scarf around your head,
allowing some tendrils to fall loosely around your face.

Hairstyles {a lazy girls GUIDE}

Rachel Zoe

Braids are your bestie if you're feeling like a lazy day.
They take about two minutes to do and, styled to the side, make a super stylish hair look.

A headband is the easiest way to smarten up a straight hairstyle as Olivia Wilde demonstrated.

Kylie shows that a cheap claw grip is a stylish way to secure your strands as she holidays in Portofino.

Lauren Conrad wore what she calls her "fun bun" to an Alice + Olivia party last week. The messier version of a ballerina bun, it's a great way to chuck up your hair if you don't know what else to do with it!

Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum Writes About Styling Her Kids' Hair

Heidi talks hair styling the kids with the Huffington Post.

Henry, Johan and Lou -- my three youngest -- have super beautiful locks. Their hair definitely requires a different kind of care than my daughter Leni's hair. I've learned to never brush their curly hair when it's dry because then it'll frizz. I use lots of conditioner and detangler, and only go to hairdressers who really KNOW how to cut and style curly hair.

Hair Care - Breakage + Brittleness

I like to share with you, my readers, tips that I find beneficial for myself. I have very dry and brittle hair at the moment and found this on Marie Claire to add lustre to hair that is brittle and breaks easily.

"Weakened hair is generally caused by poor nutrition, or the overuse of chemical treatments and heat-styling tools. Hot tongs and blow-drying weaken the hair's structure, leading to split ends and, eventually, breakage. While the damage cannot be undone, regular use of a hair treatment, such as Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair Treatment Mask, $8.79, will help boost the inner strength of strands and build resilience to future damage."

"Use a repairing care range at home and follow-up with in-salon treatments to help restore your hair. If you use hot irons, always apply a protective lotion before styling and then limit the damage by setting them to the correct temperature for your hair type. If it's thick or coarse, use a high heat or, for thin or fine hair, choose a low setting."

"If you have dry and brittle strands, eat more essential fatty acids to give your hair that lovely lustre. Find them in foods rich in omega fatty acids, like avocado, salmon and sardines, or take a supplement, such as flaxseed oil or fish oil capsules."

ghd Rescue Drops Weekly Leave-In Treatment, $45 for seven applications; L'OrĂ©al Paris Elvive Re-Nutrition Night Elixir, $11.95; Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Shampoo for Dry/Damaged Hair, $5.99; Kiehl’s Extra-Strength Conditioning Rinse For Dry or Damaged Hair, $46; Herron Natural Essentials Fish Oil 1000, $11.45 for 80 capsules.

Hairstyle - The French Braid

Found this gorgeous style via BellaMumma and just had to share.
How to via Become Gorgeous.....

+ Prepare strands for styling by taming with Pantene Nature Fusion Leave on Creme if you have a problem with frizz. (recommended by me.....it works so good!!)

+ Part hair where you would like to start the braiding, separate strands the way you would like to wear them.

+ Seperate and tie the strands you would not like to include in the braid into a ponytail until you have finished.

+ Grab the hair and divide into 3 equal sections Go on braiding the 2 parts on the sides, the one in the middle should constantly grab and incorporate the rest of the bangs, this way securing the braided section to the head.

+ Leave the middle part follow its way and rather crisscross the tresses on the side further grabbing the additional strands. Do the traditional French braiding across your head until you reach the ears.

+ You can either include the braid into the ponytail if you opted for an updo or you can simple fix it with a bobby pin at the back of your ears. This all depends on the length of your hair and the hairstyle you've selected.
